flexibility of the banner material. The Vinyl banners can be assembled in two ways: they can have the vinyl applied to the surface, or images can be directly digitally printed onto a banner material, called scrim.

Installation of banners usually use Grommets, metal rings that are affixed to the banner and provide a strong point in which to affix the banner to a structure.

Banners can also have pole pockets hemmed into them, through which a pole can be inserted, the poles then being mounted. Webbing, a fabric as used in old style lawn chairs, can also be sewn into the banners, so that they can be tied to structures, like with a hammock between two trees, the difference being that the sign would be displayed vertically, facilitating its visual objective.

When used in indoor applications, banners last longer, due to the lack of environmental concerns.
